2011 Jog-a-Thon!

The second annual Jog-a-thon on Thursday, September 22, 2011 was a great success! The students, faculty & staff had a great time running through the school's neighborhood and seeing so much support from friends and family along the way. The best part of the run was running through the water stream from Eagle Mountain's Fire Station #2's brush truck. The firefighters had just as much fun spraying the students and the students did running through the water. Even Mrs. Smith ran through the water at the end of the day!

We want to give a special thanks to all of our sponsors. Without them, the jog-a-thon would never have been so successful. Many thanks go to the following:

26.2 Running Company
In Motion Dance
The Music Stop
Eagle Mountain City Youth Sports
The Legacy Center/span>
American Fork Target
Lehi Costco
The Ranches Golf Club
Epic Biking
Jack & Jill Bowling Lanes

Green Ribbon Week

Did you know that on average in Utah, 1/3 of all pedestrians injured or killed are under the age of 15? The purpose of Green Ribbon Week is to promote pedestrian safety awareness and education. It is also a time to remind drivers to slow down in residential areas and around schools! Join us in our pledge to keep the children of Pony Express safe. We hope everyone will be involved to make this a great week!

Tuesday: Wear green to school…pledge to stay safe!

Wednesday: Walk to school…moms or dads too! Make sure your child knows how to be a safe pedestrian

Thursday: 2nd annual Jog-a-thon @ school…parents join us! After school, take a bike ride as a family! Teach or practice the rules of the road together.

Friday: reward your family… have a picnic dinner at Nolan park…play a little!
